We strive to make hobbyDB more accessible to collectors with disabilities. When done we plan to maintain conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria.

To get there we like to add new abilities  -

  • Members should be able to change colors and contrast levels in our site settings

  • Browser zoom should work up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen (this already works on most of our pages)

  • Visitors to be able to navigate all of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software (this is mostly working as well)

  • Listen to all of the site's pages using commonly used screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver (we believe this now all works but are still testing this)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.  hobbyDB only has a small dev team and some of the above will take time to complete.  You can read more about these and other planned changes on our Roadmap.

If you have disabilities and struggle with any aspect of hobbyDB we would love to hear from you on how we can make the site easier to use (ideally tell us the page you are on and the problem you are experiencing).  You will find our contact form on the top right side of this screen (the readers gets to the button with two right mouse clicks).
