Sometimes an item came both in a Set and individually packaged. In those cases the individual item gets related as being Part of the Set and members that have the loose figure can add it to their collection on the page of the individually packaged item.
This is also one of the reasons why the default for the Show on Search photo is the loose item (more on that here).
