Importing Collections into hobbyDB


We can import both Database Items (more here) and/or your collection. 


If you are ready to import your collection to hobbyDB, we would love to help you out! All we need is the following sent to us in a spreadsheet (CSV, Excel or Google Sheets): 

  • The item's corresponding HDBID (can be found on the Database Item page)
  • Condition of the item
  • Condition of the item's packaging (or "None" if you do not have packaging for an item)

Note: Condition varies by item type but can come in 1-100 or in Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, or Poor (contact us for more details).

Exporting Your Collection


With hobbyDB Premium, you can now seemlessly export your collection from your Collection Management Dashboard. Simply click on My Stuff, then Collection Management and click the Export Collection Button. You will then receive an email with your collection csv attached. If you would like a partial export, simply apply the filters to your collection and then follow the same process as above.

Exporting Your Wish List

With hobbyDB Premium, you can now seemlessly export your wish list from your Wish List Management Dashboard. Simply click on My Stuff, then Wish List Management and click the Export Button. You will then receive an email with your wish list csv attached. If you would like a partial export, simply apply the filters to your collection and then follow the same process as above.


Exporting Collections from hobbyDB for Insurance purposes


We plan to work with various insurance companies (currently we work with Sure, you will find their quoting engine here) so that you can seamlessly insure your collection on hobbyDB at your Collectibles' current Estimated Value, or a value you chose as either a fixed amount or a percentage of your collection's current Estimated Value.
