Data Partnerships

Powered by collectors, for collectors, the hobbyDB project has many ways for the community to get involved.

Share your data

Have a large collection that you’d like to preserve forever? We’ve partnered with industry leaders such as Diecast Lovers or South Texas Diecast (read Rob Graves interesting perspective on how to best curate a database on our blog)  to incorporate their databases into the hobbyDB catalog. Our partners believe in the hobbyDB mission to create a site which documented everything, bringing together data on the most popular – and the most obscure – collectibles ever made. Why are so many information owners coming together to do this? So we could preserve it all for posterity, providing free, accurate information to everyone! With many detailed data points on each and every item, it’s easy for anybody to expand their collectibles knowledge with hobbyDB. Our partners believe in the hobbyDB mission – to become the largest, most comprehensive resource for collectors in the world.

Also, if you are an author and are looking to preserve your collection, we would be happy to help. Authors and where needed also publishers have already donated the right to digitize more than 100 books to hobbyDB, and a small number of volunteers and us are working through that list.
